She was first elected into the House of Representatives of the Federal Republic of Nigeria in June 2007 where she served as Chairman House Committee on Intl. Donors & Civil Societies. Presently, she serves as the Chairman House Committee on Foreign Affairs; charged with the responsibility of protecting Nigerian citizens abroad, foster commercial inter-course with foreign nations and safeguard Nigeria’s business interest abroad, Technical assistance to foreign countries as well as oversight the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. She is a strong advocate of Human Rights and the Gender agenda. Rep. Nnenna Elendu Ukeje has a degree in English Language from University of Benin and a post Graduate degree in Mass Communication from the University of Lagos, Nigeria.
