Senior Lecturer at the Department of Political Science
is a Senior Lecturer at the Department of Political Science at the National Research University Higher School of Economics and the Deputy Chair of the Laboratory for Sociopolitical Destabilization Risk Monitoring at the National Research University Higher School of Economics as well as a senior research fellow at the Institute for African Studies, which is part of the Russian Academy of Sciences. He is also a member of the Scientific Council of the Russian Political Sciences Association (RPSA) and the Russian Sociological Society. In addition, Issaev is an expert on the Middle East and North Africa at the “Valdai” Club and the Russian International Affairs Council (RIAC). He earned his PhD in political science in 2014 from the Institute for African Studies at the Russian Academy of Sciences (RAS).
