Professor of Political Science at Kuwait University
He is the founder of the Center for Strategic and Future Studies. He is a visiting professor in a number of universities and an international expert at several organisations. He has chaired and participated in fact-finding committees in various countries and was appointed by the UN Secretary General as independent expert on human rights in Somalia. He was awarded the International Monitor Award by Human Rights Watch for his human rights activities. He writes about political science and human rights and speaks in the press regularly.
